Synopsis: Recently released from prison, Hugh McCrory is a gay sex offender who decides to change his ways and move to a small, quaint neighborhood in suburban London to start a new life and put aside his dark secret. He moves into a house on Windsor Street , a street with picturesque houses and lovely flowers and bushes. There he meets the neighbors:

TURNERS
Emily: A single mom who recently divorced her cheating husband, works as a waitress, and drinks to calm herself. She befriends Hugh, spends plenty of time with him and falls in love with him. She sees him as a way of finding herself and her identity, but then later she discovers that he is gay and she wants nothing to do with him since then.
Matthew: A young 14 year-old boy who is a bastard child and is confused about his sexuality. At first, he didn’t trust his mom being in a relationship with Hugh, but then he becomes a friend to him. Hugh starts to have affections for Matthew, but constantly denies it until Matthew admits that he loves him.

CALLOWS
George: A local store owner with at first meets Hugh and befriends Hugh, but then he starts to become suspicious of his sexuality and begins to ignore him.
Leslee: A school teacher who meets Hugh one day when he follows Matthew to school. She is the first to know about his sexuality and gradually accepts him. She’s delighted to see him every time, and she always invites him to neighborhood events. She also doesn’t approve of her husband’s behavior towards Hugh, and they constantly argue with each other about him.

HALFORDS
Stan: The elder of Windsor Street and a war veteran. He admires Hugh and becomes somewhat of a guidance to him because he knows that he’s struggling to find peace in his life.
Jessica: The wife of Stan and is one of head florists for the royal family. She doesn’t like Hugh at all, thus it leads to her bitching and snooping around his property, his face, and to his mysterious past. She is the first to find out about him being a sex offender and threatens him to leave the street or she’ll tell everyone, even his good friends the Turners.

After Matthew confesses his love, they had sex together, which leads Hugh into a crazy state when he promised not to go down that road again. Then the whole street finds out about their relationship, and in the end, Hugh kills himself with a revolver.
