Synopsis: As a comedian traveling across the country, Sarah Silverman catches a rare glimpse of the environment, and she knows all the facts about global warming, and quite frankly, she thinks it’s awesome. Instead of looking at the bad sides of global warming like flooding and polar ice caps melting, Sarah looks at the positive things like the chance to climb Mt. Everest with ease and lower sweater costs. But global warming needs our help. Sarah Silverman will give you tips for speeding up the global warming process, such as leaving your refrigerator door open, leaving the vacuum on, turning on all the lights, and at any spare moment, spraying as many aerosol cans as possible. Don’t fear global warming, embrace it! If you love your children. If you love your planet. You HAVE to see this film.

Memorable Quote

SARAH
“Fact: global warming will cause the undead to reanimate and roam the earth as zombies once again, but don’t worry. They’re gonna be like fun zombies!”

What the press would say:

From the acclaimed writer/director team that brought us Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind & For Your Consideration comes “A Very Convenient Truth”, Sarah Silverman’s comedic goldmine. The script is adapted from a skit of Sarah’s that she performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but with the help of Eugene Levy and Christopher Guest, that skit has turned into one of the funniest mockumentaries to date. This hilarious spoof of Al Gore’s Academy Award winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” delivers side splitting laughter and a near perfect performance by Sarah Silverman. Silverman is known for her comedic abilities and racy humor, but this film shows that she has amazing acting abilities. Although it’s not a very baity role, I expect to see her on Oscar night. The script is a masterpiece. It isn’t like scary movie where the script is copied word for word, it’s refreshingly different from most movie spoofs. The dialogue and the interactions between Sarah and her audience is written beautifully and it flows. This kind of movie sounds as though it doesn’t require good directing, but it does. While Sarah is on stage presenting the slide show, she is in front of a audience of regular people picked from all around Los Angeles. The way that the slide show scenes are directed is part of what makes this movie so genius. The audience takes Sarah seriously, they never laugh, no matter how funny it is. And the scenes where she is walking around L.A. are hilarious. Also the music, the score is not original, but it fits the movie perfectly. It is done mostly on the piano and always in minor keys, which gives a dramatic feel to this outrageous comedy. And the original song. “Spread the Love” written by Academy Award nominated songwriter Eugene Levy (A Kiss at the end of the rainbow) & Sarah Silverman (You’re gonna Die Soon) write a wonderful satirical song about ways to help global warming. All in all, this film is one of the funniest and best comedies ever made, I expect the film to receive the following Oscar Nominations...

Best Picture- Karen Murphy
Best Director- Christopher Guest
Best Actress- Sarah Silverman
Best Adapted Screenplay- Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy & Sarah Silverman
Best Original Song- “Spread the Love”- Eugene Levy & Sarah Silverman
