Synopsis: Olivia meets her Dad for the first time after he spent 10 long years in prison and she will never do anything to displease him because she's afraid her dad will leave her again. Alfredo struggles to find work to support his blind daughter but he ends up using drugs again. Alfredo was desperate to buy more drugs so he will force, manipulate and drug her daughter to be a stripper to pay off his debts. Olivia meets Rick Cruz, a naive costumer of the bar who fell in love with her. He will act as her protector from perverts who wants to touch her and he treats her with utmost respect and reverence. He dreams of buying a house for her and finance her dancing classes. He is going to do everything to make her happy...

After he found out that Olivia and Rick were romantically involved, he accidentally kills Rick after he followed him in his Apartment. During their heated argument Rick made him realize what he's doing to his daughter is wrong. At the end of the film, he will feel guilty and remorseful after seeing her wait for Rick every night at the club. Now that Rick is gone, Alfredo saw how the costumers of the club abused her daughter and fought them off. For the first time in his life, he became a father to her. He will enroll her in a dancing school where she always dreamed of going. What Camille doesn't know after they bade farewell, his father is never coming back. At the end of the film, Alfredo confessed his crime to the police.

What the press would say:

The story is profound, insightful, and something I'd not quite seen before in a movie. Most movies scarcely scratch the surface of their characters and interrelationships, but Shadow Dancer dives in so deeply and yet with such confidence and competency that it looks easy. It seems Mr. Marc Forster, one of the most gifted directors working today, outdoes himself in this film. Likewise, the strong performances of Camilla Belle, Benicio Del Toro and Michael Pena will earn them an acting nomination at the Oscars later this year.
